ACTING FOR FILM AND TV LONDON (SHOWREEL)
This course is aimed at Drama School graduates and professional actors wanting to learn the particular skills required for screen acting and culminates in a professionally filmed and edited showreel.
Course Breakdown
• Acting For Screen with a Director: The first 2 sessions will cover the principles of screen acting.
• Auditioning for Film & TV Agent: This session covers the various skills required for auditioning for Film TV and Commercials. Marketing the actor is also covered in these sessions.
• The Casting process for Film and TV: Working with a Casting Director. An opportunity for actors to find out what casting directors look for, how to approach casting directors. Learning a script and how to approach it at an audition.
• Screen Acting Skills: A chance to learn and discover the various methods of screen acting. These sessions are very much on a practical level and actors will be given a chance to see their on screen progression.
The first 8 sessions are held at our London Studio at Kings Cross. The last 2 sessions are run at Pinewood Film Studios where actors will record various scenes for their showreel. The showreel is professionally shot and edited. The finished showreel is approximately 1-2 minutes long and is ideal for Spotlight and Websites. Actors will also have the opportunity of adding any additional material that they may already have.

A unique opportunity to learn and develop the skills required for Acting in Film & TV.

The course will train you in basic film acting techniques, enabling you to assess your potential to work in film or television. Acting experience is not necessary, but if you have some, so much the better. Students are aged 18 and above, and numbers are kept to around 16 for each class to ensure that individual attention can be given to each student. This course is held at Pinewood Film Studios.

ACTING SHOWREEL & VOICE REEL
Aimed at professional actors wanting an acting showreel and voice demo reel. The course takes place over 2 weekends at the world famous Pinewood Studios.
Course Breakdown
The first weekend will be used for recording 4 voice samples. Bafta Award winning Sound Engineer David Taylor will be recording the voice demos at his recording studio at Pinewood Studios. During the first weekend actors will also discuss the material for the acting showreel shot the next weekend.
VOICEREEL
Actors will have the opportunity to record
•Voice record for Narration/Audio Book
•Voice record for Documentary
•Voice record for Radio Spot
•Voice record for Commercial
The samples will then be burned to DVD and will be suitable for Spotlight and Casting Call Pro.
ACTING SHOWREEL
The second weekend will be used for filming an acting show reel approximately 2 minutes in length.
Actors will film 3 scenes for a showreel which will be professionally shot and edited at Pinewood Studios. Actors will also have the opportunity to ad existing material to their showreel.

FIVE DAY INTENSIVE ACTING COURSE FOR CAMERA AT PINEWOOD STUDIOS
This demanding course is aimed at Actors who wish to hone their skills for Acting in Film & TV.
Actors should be prepared to live, eat and breathe acting for this five day course. Students will be given the opportunity to explore all the elements of screen acting.
Participants who want to take part in this course must have a good basic understanding of acting.
This is an ideal course for Actors wanting to learn screen skills but who are unable to commit to a full time course.
Course Breakdown
Day 1: Working with a Director
From day one, our students are immersed in the “how’ and why`” of acting for Screen.
An experienced director will work with students on the basic principles of good screen performance. How to work in front of the lens, hit marks, use eye lines and create fresh performances for every take.
Day 2: Screen Acting
An intense day of learning the various methods used for screen acting.
How to act truthfully moment - to moment
Day 3: Working with a Casting Director
An experienced casting director will take students through the casting and audition process for screen. Students will also have the opportunity to see their audition tapes.
Day 4: 1st AD and Agent
Students will get a first hand insight into the business of TV and Film.
During the day students will have the opportunity to work with an experienced assistant director who will give participants first hand knowledge of working on a busy set.
The second half of the day will be taken by an experienced acting agent who will give valuable advice on the business of working as an actor.
Day 5: Filmed Scenes
On the last day of this busy course you will have the opportunity to put the skills you have learned into practise and film scenes will be professionally shot and edited.
At the end of day 5 students will participate in an evaluation of week.
